Welcome to our newest post doc, Lize De Coster!

Lize received her PhD in Psychology at Ghent University in Belgium in 2014, investigating the influence of being imitated on empathy for pain, with a focus on the neuroscience of self-other representational mechanisms. She then went on to do a postdoc exploring these mechanisms and basic social cognition in women with a history of early stress trauma. She is currently a research fellow at the BAND lab working on group cohesion and the effects of oxytocin. In her free time, Lize enjoys dancing, and moving and being moved in all its forms.
