Dr. Stauffer's abstract, Oxytocin-enhanced motivational interviewing group therapy for methamphetamine use disorder in men who have sex with men: preliminary results from a randomized controlled trial, has been selected as this year's Runner-up for the Research Abstract Award!  He will be presenting this abstract at the AMERSA Conference in San Francisco on November 10th in San Francisco. 

Congratulations to Dr. Stauffer for this great achievement!

Congratulations to Dr. Joshua Woolley, recipient of the 2018 Research Mentor of the Year Award, from the Resident Research Training Program (RRTP), part of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Dr. Woolley’s research in the Bonding and Attunement in Neuropsychiatric Disorders (BAND) lab focuses on developing and testing novel pharmacological and cognitive interventions to strengthen social connections for individuals suffering from mental illness. He has successfully mentored many residents in conducting high-impact translational research.

A big congratulations to our resident physician Brian Anderson for receiving the Resident Research Funding Award from the UCSF Clinical & Translational Science Institute! His research project, “Psilocybin-Associated Group Therapy for Demoralization in Long-term AIDS Survivors” investigates the use of psilocybin combined with group therapy in improving the mental health of long-term AIDS survivors.
