Here is a brief description of the position: Postdoctoral Opportunity in Social Neuroscience and Psychology
Applications are invited for a unique postdoctoral opportunity within a network of experts in human social cognition, group cohesion, psychobiological synchrony, and socially relevant pharmacological interventions. The postdoc will work at the University of California, San Francisco and the San Francisco VA Medical Center on new and existing projects aimed at understanding and enhancing small group social processes in the laboratory and in naturalistic settings using psychological and pharmacological approaches. The ideal candidate should have research expertise in social cognition and behavior, a PhD in Psychology, excellent technical and statistical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and passion for novel endeavors. We are open to the specific area of training (clinical, social/personality, cognitive, affective, developmental), but are looking for someone with strong lab-based experimental skills, statistical expertise (e.g., knowledge of Hierarchical Linear Modeling would be a plus), and evidence of research productivity. Expertise in neuroscience is beneficial but not required. The initial appointment will be made for one year with a possibility of extension.
